News August 16, 2011 PCAOB Proposes Mandatory Auditor Rotation The Public Accounting Oversight Board voted to issue a concept release which proposes requiring public companies to change their external audit firms after a certain period to be determined. The concept release aims to solicit comments from the public on this and other ways to encourage greater auditor independence, objectivity, and professional skepticism.
